Well, it’s a wrap. The last Rat Root Rendezvous hosted by Lori and Randy Breeuwsma of Karamat Wilderness Ways. We celebrated our 25th one at the end of August and I believe we were at 175 bodies or so. We would like to thank everyone that came out and made it a wonderful and memorable Rendezvous. Thank you to all that taught a class. You all did a wonderful job. A special thank you to Don Auten for being the hosts host and helping everyone find their way around the place. We would also like to thank everyone that donated something for the door prizes. It was greatly appreciated.

We have some wonderful news for everyone. Dale and Colleen Kiselyk of Nature Alive have put their names into the ring to carry on the Rendezvous. Not sure if they will call it Rat Root or something else. It is now their baby and they may do with it what they will. We will help with the transition as much as possible, so you will now have to look to their website for information on the 2026 Rendezvous. We will post a link to it on our website and also point our Rendezvous page to it as well.

We would also like to thank everyone that was involved in the bestowing of the gift of a picture of I believe is from one of our Rendezvous’ featuring “An evening under the parachute”. It was a wonderful surprise and it has been a honor to work with all. Don Auten also graced Randy and myself with the Silver Axe Award, created by Brian McBride. It was an honor to receive it and we follow Dragan and Crystal, Kelly Harlton, and Don Auten.
