Back in the 1990’s, Mors Kochanski and Karamat Wilderness Ways came up with the SIT Program or Survival Instructor Trainee Program. They ran this program until about 2010. It was basically a list of things Mors felt a person should know and be able to teach to become a Survival Instructor. The list was put into a logbook style book where a person could keep track of where they learned the information, from whom and how often they practiced the skill. Later on, the Grand Syllabus was published that gave a more detailed explanation of the SIT Program. The logbook works in combination with the Grand Syllabus.

I have been making Junk Journals which are a logbook of sorts for people to keep track of anything they wish, from the thoughts, quotes, things they have learned, a daily journal, etc.

I have merged the two ideas to create a Leather bound Survival Instructor Trainee Program Logbook Junk Journal. I have added extra pages for notes, drawings, thoughts, classes taken with whom, where and when, or anything you would wish to add to your logbook. The tags can be journaled on or replaced with any other items you may wish to add. You can add anything you wish to, badges, stickers, samples of plants, knots; the ideas are endless. This is a 3 signature journal. All 4 journals listed have the same components but the papers and images may vary.

Mors favored a few different quotes and I have added them to the journal.

There is also a USB stick that can be included with the journal. On there, you will find the course manual that we give to every student that does a course with us. Mors put this together many years ago and both Mors and Karamat added things to it. Kelly Harlton also added a few extras to the information provided to the students. There is also a pdf copy of all 23 pocket booklets that Mors wrote and we published.

You have the option of purchasing the journal with or without the USB stick. Prices varies.
