Description
A Plant Walk with Mors Kochanski — Volume 7
Volumes 1 through 7 of A Plant Walk with Mors Kochanski identify approximately 240 plants using both their Latin and common names. Each volume is approximately 70 minutes long and features approximately 35 plants, divided into seven plant segments, with a review at the end of each segment.
Although these are plant identification videos, Mors explains how to identify the plants and goes into detail about whether they are edible, medicinal, or poisonous. The plants featured throughout the series are found across Canada and the United States.
Question-and-answer sheets are available on our website for each volume, giving you an opportunity to test yourself on the information Mors provides about each plant.
These videos are a wonderful visual resource, perfect for teaching plant identification in a classroom setting, with the added benefit of being able to return to the videos and review specific specimens whenever needed.
Volume 8 — The Master Tape
The eighth volume, “The Master Tape,” is a 40-minute slide show covering all 240 plants presented in Volumes 1 through 7.
Each plant is displayed for 10 seconds, giving viewers the opportunity to challenge their knowledge and test their identification skills. Then, if you think you are really good, all 240 slides are presented in less than 10 minutes for an even greater challenge.
A reference sheet is included listing the Latin and common names of all 240 plants in numerical order.
Together, these volumes provide an excellent visual resource for plant identification, classroom instruction, wilderness education, and personal study.
